The textbook was processed in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of basic general education, approximate programs for academic subjects and fully covers the issues of literature for the main school. New topics were introduced (in particular, the poem of O.E. Mandelstam “Insomnia. Homer. Tygoy sails...”, the story of D. Salinger “Above rye”), the section “Modern authors - children” (the story of A. Zavalevsky And E. Pasternak “Loser”), (D. Salinger's story “Over the abyss in rye”), concepts, terms, definitions, as well as tasks of different levels of complexity. Particular attention is paid to the preparation of students for writing for works. When completing tasks and design work, students will be able to prove themselves in independent research activities, learn to analyze artistic texts and acquire other useful skills and competencies.
