Why Astrid is a little girl from 1925-1930? Because in 1985 I was passionate about Ar-Deco, Bauhaus, Cubism and all the “Izmes” of this period of the first half of the 20th century. In 1985, I also discovered the work of Lewis Carroll, Oscars Wilde, James Joyce, Sid Barrett, The Beatles. The song Pink Floyd See Emily Play was spinning in my head.

It was this hellish mixture that led to the appearance of Astrid. [...]

years have passed, and the ideas around Astrid accumulated and improved.

I had Astrid, but I needed a simple children's situation to happen. The loss of the tooth seemed a good beginning. [...]

I began to represent Astrid in a chair, bored, curled up, watching every little thing and understands that one of her teeth was staggering. From there I got a legend of the mouse. This made it possible to move from everyday life to science fiction, from reality to science fiction.
