The textbook is intended for children with disabilities and implements the requirements of the adapted basic general education program in the subject area "Mathematics" in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of the Education of Students with Intellectual Disorders.

The system of tasks and exercises is built on the principle from simple to complex, has a practical orientation. All tasks are accompanied by texts in the form of instruction-form, samples for execution. The textbook consists of two parts. In the first part, children get acquainted with the ideas about the size, quantity, form of objects, with temporary and spatial representations, as well as with numbers and numbers from 1 to 5. The training set in mathematics for the 1st grade includes a workbook. The textbook can be used in organizing mathematics in 1 additional class.
