We are glad to welcome you on the pages of the 5th release of an almanac, dedicated mainly to the Sedea-Tematics. This time there were so many works that they did not fit on the usual 256 pages and the editorial office added a half -meter. At the moment, this is our largest collection in volume.

The results of two large competitions were summed up, which the publishing house held among Russian artists - a competition of miniatures and a competition of chibi -characters. Starting from this issue, you will meet on the pages of the Almanac who took part in the work contest (and, of course, the winning work). We are pleased that the competitions are popular, and we will continue to hold them in the future.

We also hasten to inform that in September 2011, the MNG almanac became available to Japanese readers: residents and guests of the Tottori prefecture. The Comics Factory presented several copies of the 1st and 2nd numbers of the prefectural library. This gift served as the key to friendship and intention to participate in the international exhibition of manga, which will be held in Tentori in the fall of 2012. The Japanese side greatly hopes for Russia's participation in this event, since Asian giants mainly participate in such exhibitions. The organizers and participants will undoubtedly want to find out how and what the artists of such a mysterious, large and cold country are drawn about, where bears with balalaikas go through the streets, and all the girls are insanely beautiful.
