The textbook was developed in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for Primary General Education and the Concept of the Perspective Primary School system.

The material of the textbook is based on the musical and pedagogical concept of D.B. Kabalevsky and is aimed at developing the perception of music as the art of intoned meaning among schoolchildren. The textbook represents a kind of exposition of the most significant music aspects in the structure of school musical education: intonation, the development of music, building (forms) of music. The appendix to the textbook includes: a dictionary of aesthetic emotions "How can music sound?" (prepared on the basis of the material of V.G. Razhnico-); musical dictionary; Songer “What songs do we sing?”; “ABC of communication with art”, which has an educational character.

The music kit includes: program, textbook, notebook for independent work and methodological manual for the teacher.
