A textbook for the 9th grade is intended for the implementation of the course of the native (Russian) literature in the framework of the subject “Native Language and Native Literature”, which is part of the mandatory part of the curriculum. The manual is aimed at the formation of ideas about native literature as one of the main national-cultural values ​​of the people and a special way of knowing life, introduces fifth graders with the works of Russian literature, which most clearly reflects the spiritual foundations of Russian culture, Russian national character, customs, traditions of the Russian people. Working with a teaching aid contributes to the development of the ability to analyze literary artistic works that reflect ethnocultural traditions, to identify cultural and moral meanings laid down in native Russian literature, as well as the formation of the need for systematic reading as a means of cognition of peace and oneself in this world.
