Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5 tires are designed for driving in the winter. They are installed on cars and are distinguished by a directed tread of the “Scandinavian” type, which is adapted for the most difficult winter conditions. These tires have the following distinctive features:

- the presence of microscopic particles (crystals) as part of a rubber mixture. The technology is called Arctic Grip and improves adhesion due to the fact that microparticles work like built -in micro -shows, and they come to the surface as they abrasion.

- double protective blocks implemented as part of the Double Block technology. This solution improves controllability and increases the clutch. an important advantage of the Hakkapeliitta R5 tires is the presence of a winter wear indicator. The technology is called WSI: there is a snowflake on the surface of the tire, and when the tread depth is reduced to 4 millimeters, it disappears. This indicates excessive wear and the need to replace the tires.
