Nutcracker

On Christmas evening, Fritz and Clara receive gifts from their parents: dolls, wooden horse, toy hussar, tiny dishes, books with pictures. The godfather of throttle presents them a miniature castle with golden towers, through the halls of which ladies and gentlemen move. Children get acquainted with another toy - a small ugly man named a Nutcracker, who can defeat hard nuts. Thus begins the famous story of Ernst Theodore Amadeus Hoffmann “The Nutcracker”, which was first published in 1816.

The book published a short retelling of this fairy tale from German Leonid Yakhnin for young children. Such a book was invented and drawn by the famous English artist Alison Jay.
