The manual was developed in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard and compiled taking into account the requirements presented by the program on the subject "The World" for primary school students.

The manual is aimed at the early socialization of primary schoolchildren. The main task of the manual is to form in children of the second class of the ability to self -study and self -development.

This educational and practical manual is integrated and makes it possible to form the following groups of universal educational actions: personal, regulatory and cognitive.

Methods, forms and techniques used in working with the manual, are aimed at the formation of universal educational actions in children. In the process of work, the student needs to recall or evaluate the read literary work, choose the necessary information from it, record the answer, and therefore, recall and use the rules of spelling. The student has to do several mental and practical operations when performing just one task. In addition, the second-grader checks and evaluates himself in gaining knowledge.

The educational and practical material of the manual can be used not only in the lessons in the subject “The World”, as well as in extracurricular work, during circle and optional classes. Many tasks are based on literary texts: verses, fairy tales, stories, fables, proverbs, riddles. There are tasks that the drawings serve as answers. Thus, the teacher leads the children to the development of universal educational actions (UUD).

The manual contains a section on the formation of a second -grader of self -esteem of their own activities, which is one of the most important forms of student -subject development of students. Each topic contains the keywords used in the text, the final (control) tasks for self -esteem are given. At the end of the manual, the correct answers are contained. A training manual can use in their work an elementary school teacher and deputy directors of the school, supervising the elementary school, as well as parents of students of 2 classes.
