Thematic textbooks for primary grades include works included in all programs for reading for 1-4 grades approved by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

This textbook includes classical works of different eras, genres and peoples, United by a common theme: all of them talk about real and fictional brave men - about real heroes and just courageous people, large and small, about courageous animals and even fairy -tale creatures. The young reader will meet with the work of N. A. Kun, M. Yu. Lermontov, I. S. Turgenev, L. N. Tolstoy, a. N. Tolstoy, B. S. Zhitkov and A.P. Gaidar, as well as foreign authors: E.T. A. Hoffmann, brothers Grimm, G. X. Andersen.

The publication is addressed to younger students, intended for preparation for lessons and independent reading of the house. All works are given without abbreviations.
