The clamp got its name for similarity with the jaws of a crocodile. It consists of two curly details with “crocodile” teeth, fastened with the middle with a special pin and capable of turning to a certain angle around the axis of the connection. To one of the parts using the screw, the contact wire is mounted. The compression of the "jaws" is provided by a spring inserted on the other side of the pin. The contact part of the product is made of steel with a nickelled coating. In order to safely operate the clamp, one handle has insulation made of PVC, which will protect against electric shock.
