The novel “Russian Cross” is a large-scale “Saga about generation”, about those whose youth coincided with a serene period of stagnation and who in the 90s came the main blow, demanding the choice of the path, the redrawing of the worldview, and the creation of a new picture of the world. More than twenty turning out of the recent years of the latest history of Russia are revealed in the vicissitudes and turns of the fate of several school friends. The reader meets them very young and traces the difficult fate of yesterday's classmates from book to book. The final three books of the novel - “Vorters of Changes”, “Wolf Songs”, “Time to Live” - continue the story of the life of matured, mature friends of youth. All attributes of difficult time are present here: the change of power, the collapse of the country, military operations, the formation of a market economy, gang show. The heroes of the novel fight and adapt, defeat and lose, love and hate - in a fierce variable world, everyone for himself and their closest. They fall in love, part, make mistakes, go forward, defending their truth, changing with the country. Each of them has its own fate, and together is the fate of the generation.
