The textbook covers the key issues of the history of Russia of the XVIII century. It was created in accordance with the requirements of the historical and cultural standard and the federal state educational standard of basic general education. In this publication, the methodological apparatus was redesigned in accordance with the approximate basic educational program of basic general education. Given the modern level of historical science in the textbook against the backdrop of universal history, the key events of Russian history of the XVIII century are highlighted. A significant place is given to the issues of culture and everyday life. The main result of studying the course is the formation of students in Russian civil identity and patriotism.
