Marine tactics generalize combat experience and establish the methods and techniques of using elements and units of naval forces in various conditions of combat situation at the sea. At the same time, sea tactics teaches to practically apply these methods in specific combat conditions.
The next book of the series is the reprint of one of the best textbooks of the Naval School named after M.V. Frunze. Released in the second half of the 1930s under the name "sea tactics", it became an important manual for cadets of naval schools and command staff of naval forces. One of the authors of the book is the 1st rank captain Petr Dmitrievich Bykov (1890-1963), who taught at the Naval School in the 1930s, heading the Department of History of Naval Arts at the Naval Academy.
