Theodore Dreiser is a famous American writer. His works, such as the “American tragedy”, “sister Carrie” and others, enjoyed great success among readers around the world and still arouse the most keen interest. “Stoic” is the last Roman of Dreiser, who saw the light after the death of the writer, he completes the famous “Trilogy of desires” (the first two novels - “Financier” and “Titan”), the story of the life of businessman Frank Caulumwood.
