This book provides a systematic presentation of theoretical foundations, methods and applications of one of the most important sections of the mathematical theory of management and planning - linear programming. The authors took into account the methodological comments of linear programming teachers and the experience of computing centers that used the first edition of the book in their practical activities. The presentation of methods and computational procedures is given in a substantially simplified form.
This edition is the second part of the work consisting of three books that are simultaneously in the URSS publishing house. The numbering of the pages in all parts is through, since they are a direct continuation of each other; At the same time, all three books can be considered as completely independent works. Each book contains a list of used literature and an alphabetical index common to all three parts.
The second part is devoted to the final methods of linear programming: the theory and computational schemes of the three main finite methods and some of their modifications are sequentially considered; The classification of final methods and a number of practically useful recommendations for their use are given for various forms of recording the task. The book is designed for a wide range of mathematicians, engineers and economists; It can be used as a training management for universities, computing centers, research institutes.
