The textbook is the central element of the educational and methodological set of the “My Choice-English” series (“Options”) for students in grades 5–9, begin to study English in the 5th grade as a second foreign language. A distinctive feature of the teaching materials is the modular construction of a textbook, the presence of authentic material about Russia, tasks gradually preparing for the main state exam in grade 9 and a single state exam. The materials of the textbook contribute to the achievement of personal, meta -subject and subject outcomes of training.
