The main goals of the course “Literary reading” in grade 2 are the development of children's perception of literary texts of various types and genres, the education of interest in listening and reading, the general literary education of younger students. In the process of practical activity, second -graders form speech competence (listening, reading, speaking), ideas about literary terms and concepts.

The textbook contains two parts and is proposed complete with the program and book for the teacher “Literary reading lessons in modern primary school. Grade 2 ”, which will help in the preparation and conduct of classes with children.
