The textbook was prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of basic general education, the work program on literature, ed. V.F. Chertov. The textbook introduces the best works of Russian and world literature, which are considered in the context of the world historical and cultural process. The textbook implements an active approach, which involves the mastery of specific skills and skills related to reading, analyzing and interpretation of the artistic text, as well as their practical use in the process of creating their own oral and written speech statements, research and creative works, in educational activities and in various fields communications and communication situations. In the 6th grade, students' ideas about the art of a verbal image are enriched with an appeal to the image of a literary character and an analysis of the means of creating it in works of different genres and eras. Sixth graders learn, in particular, to identify the features of the national character in folklore characters (heroic epic) and ancient Russian (life) literature, to determine the functions of the character in the conflict and the plot of the work, to compare the ideological and moral positions of different characters, the position of the hero and the author, the position of the hero and his own position and his own position and his own position position.
