The textbook was processed in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of Secondary (Complete) Education. It gave integrated coverage of universal history from ancient times to the end of the 19th century, material about the place and role of Russia in world history was introduced, modern concepts of historical development, methods of historical knowledge and its features are represented. The textbook includes numerous documents (fragments of works of historical figures, laws, contracts, descriptions of eyewitnesses of events), quotes from monographs of historians and tasks for them, aimed at a comprehensive analysis of various sources of historical information. The methodological apparatus was finalized taking into account the system-activity approach. It contains multi -level interactive issues and tasks aimed at the formation of universal educational actions. The variety of headings and forms of the presented educational material will allow each student to form an individual educational trajectory together with the teacher.
