The textbook is aimed at the formation of a concept of technology in schoolchildren as a way to create a man -made world to meet human needs. The technological process is based on the project method. At specific projects, students learn how to use knowledge and skills for putting up ideas, planning and manufacturing a product or performing a service. Eighth graders get acquainted with household management technology, electrical work, modern production and professional education. The textbook can be used to teach both girls and boys. It is included in the system of educational and methodological sets "Algorithm of success". Corresponds to the Federal State Educational Standard of Basic General Education (2010).
