Military historians claim that the Second World War was, first of all, the war of the tanks. Thousands of armored combat vehicles were often used on the battlefields in order to decide the fate of the battle or even the entire campaign. A lot depended on the commanders of the formations of armored troops. This skillfully used the Wehrmacht in operations against Poland, in the West and in the first period of the Great Patriotic War.
