Max Dvorzhak is one of the largest representatives of European art history at the beginning of the 20th century. His lecture course on the art of the Italian Renaissance, read at the University of Vienna in 1918-1921, is rightfully related to the number of classical works dedicated to the Renaissance. This publication included all the researcher's lectures on Italian masters of revival of the XIV and XV centuries. The Book of Dvorzhak is not just a traditional review of the work of artists significant for the world culture: Giotto, Donatello, Leonardo da Vinci-this is also a detailed analysis of the era of the early Renaissance and significant theoretical and generalizing provisions that laid the basis of contemporary art.
