Britt-Marie cannot stand the mess. She always dinner at six in the evening, because it is at six that decent people have dinner, and gets up at six in the morning, because only crazy people get up later. And at all it is not passive aggressive, no, no, not to the slightest degree. It’s just that people sometimes perceive her benevolent remarks as criticism, but she does not mean anything like that.
But once the usual world of Britt-Marie gives a crack, and she decides to change everything. Leaving her husband after forty years of marriage, Britt-Marie moves to Borg, a tiny roadside village, slowly dying under the oppression of the financial crisis to work in a local youth center. Suddenly, Britt-Marie, a champion of perfect cleanliness, makes friendship with the rat-and becomes the coach of the local football team (although she cannot stand football almost stronger than the mess).
Taking care of the boys And Borga’s girls, Britt-Marie involuntarily delves into all the intricacies of the village life. Is it really in the world of eccentrices thrown out onto the side of the worm she will finally find her place?..
