“Three cups of tea” is an amazing story about how the most ordinary person, without possessing anything but determination, is able to change the world alone.
Greg Mortenson worked as a nurse, spent the night in the car, and kept his few property in the storage room. In memory of the deceased sister, he decided to conquer the most complex mountain K2. This attempt almost cost him life, if not for the help of local residents. A few days spent in the Pakistani village cut off from civilization shocked Greg so much that he decided to collect the necessary amount and return to Pakistan to build a school for village children.
Today, Mortenson leads one of the most successful charitable organizations in the world, he built 145 schools and several dozen women's and medical centers in the poorest villages of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The book was published in 48 countries and in each of them became a bestseller. Greg Mortenson himself twice nominated for the Nobel Prize of the world.
