Margaret Mitchell (1900 - 1949) - American writer, author of the novel “Done by the Wind”, published in 1936 and received the Pulitzer Prize. The book was incredible success among readers, and the adaptation with Vivien Lee and Clark Gabel in the lead roles won eight Academy Awards and became one of the most famous tapes in the history of world cinema.

“Done by the wind” - the story of the young southerner, the daughter of the wealthy owner of the plantations in Georgia, whose carefree youth ceases with the outbreak of civil war. In an instant, the girl had to grow up: her mother died, her father is sick, and the Yankees plundered his own estate.

This book has become the most beloved for several generations of women, and nothing equal to it has been created to this day. Years and years pass, and “those carried away by the wind” do not age, and now the new readers have to laugh and cry, love and suffer, fight and hope with the magnificent Scarlett O’Hara.
