The manual was prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for elementary school and is designed for comprehensive mastery of literacy: the study of the rules of the Russian language, the ability to apply them when writing and at the same time on the production of handwriting. The manual is based on a neuropsychological approach, that is, simultaneously with the task of mastering the letter, it provides exercises for the development of higher mental functions: attention, visual-motor coordination, the volume of visual and motor memory, and the mechanism of arbitrariness of speech.
