Speed ​​reading is the ability of a person to perceive text with high speed. It is to perceive, that is, to understand the text, and not just to mechanically read. However, modern children are slowly reading. And this is one of the most serious problems that schoolchildren and their parents face. This affects the academic performance of schoolchildren, the volume of the assimilated material in the lessons, the speed of homework. Slow and uncertain reading of text information leads to the fact that a lot of time is spent on completing tasks in all subjects, and this, in turn, leads to a general decrease in performance indicators.

How to teach a child to quickly read and at the same time assimilate the necessary amount of information? How to make the child’s skill not quickly turn into a mechanical, insufficient repetition of words? Of course, special exercises are needed.

This book contains unusual texts-strokes, working with which students will help students to significantly increase the speed of reading. The main purpose of these tasks is to teach the child when reading “see” the whole word or sentence entirely, expand peripheral vision in children, teach to read the text “to yourself”, and develop attention.
