The textbook is addressed to students of the main school who are interested in infographics and seek to comprehend its foundations in the process of extracurricular activities. The manual includes two parts. Part 1 “Signs and Signing Systems” introduces three types of signs (iconic, indexal, conventional), their features and expressive capabilities. Part 2 “We read and think with the help of infographics” will tell you how to make an assistant in the learning process: how to use it to reserve lessons, for independent work with educational information, for planning your life, for creativity and communicating with friends. Students learn what sketches, photo collage, typography and what are their features. Each educational topic includes a brief and figurative educational text, a diverse visual series and practical creative tasks that contribute to the development of intellectual abilities and artistic thinking, the formation of the ability to own various materials, tools and techniques. The tasks are selected taking into account the age capabilities and interests of students, tested in the process of practical work.
