The textbooks take into account the features of the perception of children with visual impairment, the thiflopedagogical requirements for the font and graphic design are observed.

Adapted textbooks distinguish:

- a large format;

- a large font, a tempted headset;

- enlarged design elements with enhanced color evidence and color contrast;

- processed illustrative material, taking into account the preservation of the content filling and methodological functionality (for the main lines of elementary school textbooks);

- division into several parts to comply with the requirements of the SanPiN to the weight of the educational publications.

The textbooks fully preserved the content of the text material and the methodological apparatus of textbooks included in the FPU.

Textbooks:

- help students with visual impairment to master the main educational programs of the NOO, LLC, and receive a high-quality and affordable education guaranteed to children with disabilities in accordance with the Federal Law of 29. 12. 2012 No. 273-ФЗ “On Education in the Russian Federation”;

-contribute to the close connection of ophthalmological work with correctional and pedagogical practice.
