The book includes the stories of E. Vorobyev, L. Kassil, L. Sobolev, L. Panteleev, Yu. Yakovleva, N. Chukovsky about the Great Patriotic War, often based on real events. All these writers in 1941-1945. They were in the army. They believed that victory would not be possible without the desire for it of every person of our country. The war itself appears before the reader as a tragedy that takes life, kills beauty, dreams, and future.
