Semantic reading implies a deep immersion in the content of the read text. The purpose of working with the manual is to form first -graders the ability to read and understand the texts of different genres, to extract and analyze the necessary information, to predict the content of the text according to the available information, to formulate the topic, to answer questions to the text, to express their own opinion about what has been read.
