Functional literacy is the ability and ability to independently search, analyze, process and assimilate the necessary information from various sources. In modern society, each person has to constantly deal with a huge stream of information and, in order to confidently navigate in this stream, it is necessary to have elementary skills in working with information, such as: search, analysis, processing, storage, use and use of information in the most rational form.
The formation of functional literacy in primary schoolchildren, as a rule, is carried out in four areas: reader, mathematical, financial and natural-scientific. In order for second -graders to be the process of forming functional literacy in qualitatively, in this simulator, tasks of various types are collected for children: games, puzzles, experiments, tasks for comparison, analysis and classification. The fulfillment of tasks will contribute to the development of arbitrary attention, cognitive interests and needs in children, an increase in the vocabulary, the ability to use various means of communication for the competent presentation of their thoughts in oral and written form.
The simulator is intended for students of grade 2 and their parents and their parents as well as primary school teachers for organizing extracurricular activities. This book is included with a methodological manual for teachers.
