The textbook was prepared in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard for students of higher education institutions studying in the specialty 33. 05. 01 "Pharmacy". At the modern scientific and methodological level, relevant information is presented on the organization of medical support of the population in emergency situations of peaceful and wartime and the role of the structures of the pharmaceutical industry in it. The main tasks and organizational structure of the Unified State System for Prevention and Extraordinary Situations are set out. Classifications of emergency situations and their medical and tactical characteristics are given. The issues of protection, treatment and evacuation support of the victims and the population, the conduct of sanitary-hygienic and anti-epidemic measures, the organization of providing medical property and the technique of institutions and the formation of disasters and civil defense services are considered.
