This textbook was created to solve the problem of the effective organization of classes in the Russian native language with students in the fifth grade in lessons and out of school time.

The manual presents thematic tasks that contribute to the education of respect for the Russian language, understanding the need to study it, the development of the cognitive interests of schoolchildren, the formation of skills and the skills of semantic reading and the functional literacy of fifth graders in the process of their general intellectual development.

All tasks in the training manual are compiled taking into account the second generation standard and are aimed at the formation of personal universal educational actions in fifth graders, the foundations of logical thinking and communicative competence. A variety of material can be used for frontal, group, individual work in lessons or in extracurricular and project activities of students.

Thematic developmental tasks of varying degrees of complexity will ensure the intensive development of speech, intellectual, creative abilities of schoolchildren, and will expand their reading, linguistic and cultural circles.
