The content of the textbook is intended for students with disabilities and ensures the implementation of the requirements of the adapted basic general education program in the subject area “Art” in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of the Education of Students with Intellectual Disorders. The developing skills of fourth -graders to convey objects in movement, the appearance of a person in the portrait and self -portrait, to use different techniques for working with paints and paper will help give expressiveness to children's drawings and crafts. Expanding knowledge about the works of famous artists and folk masters, about the surrounding natural world and society, about materials and tools in visual activity will give children more to perceive and understand works of art, as well as share their own impressions and experiences in communicating with surrounding peers and adults. At the end of the textbook, methodological pages for the teacher are placed. The textbook presents samples of creative tasks, which should be proposed by students in the form of handout, prepared by the teacher independently or on the basis of an electronic application posted on the page of the textbook on the publishing house.
